Youngsters to participate in an International Friendly

Reading City Football Club will proudly welcome youngsters from the United States of America on Monday evening as we host an International Friendly here in RG30.

Earlier this summer the club was approached by EPL Sports Tours, a well-established organisation who have been creating unforgettable sporting experiences for clubs and teams from all over the world since 2007, as part of their Summer Tour they have brought a variety of youth teams from Australia and the United States of America to the UK.

Our Under 16s will be competing against their American counterparts from Steel United, who come from New Jersey.  Steel United is a subsidiary of Steel Sports, a social impact company committed to creating a new standard in youth sports and coaching while forging the next generation of leaders and creating a positive experience for over 100,000 athletes and their families each year.

The International Friendly will be played at the Atrium Health Club (Next to the Rivermoor), Scours Lane, Tilehurst, Reading, Berkshire, RG30 6AY.  Kick Off is 18:00.

Admission is free, but if you’d like to leave a donation to raise vital funds for our non-profitable, grassroots community club then you can do so here. Any contribution you can make will be appreciated by everyone at the club.

Club Chairman, Martin Law had this to say: “To be directly approached by an International Football Tour provider is testament to the hard work we are doing off the pitch to build a strong and reputable brand. We are very honoured to not only host an International Friendly Match but to participate as well”.
