Club statement

Reading City Football Club is sad to have learnt of the passing of long-term club supporter and member, Alan Rosser.

Alan was heavily involved with the club from the 1980s onwards when we were based in Highmoor. He was a regular at all games and was often seen running the line and assisting the team.

Alan was integral to the success of the Club moving forward right up until our days playing at Palmer Park. In his later years, ill health took its toll and he was unable to attend games.

Club Chairman Martin Law had this to say.

“Personally, I’d like to say a thank you to Alan for his support and belief. He was one of the people responsible for me being at Highmoor and will be sorely missed.”

We invite you to leave your own tributes in the comments towards the bottom of this webpage. His memory will always live on, and our thoughts and wishes are with his family at this difficult time.
