Victoria Pyke recognised as Volunteer of the Season

Football in Berkshire's Tom Canning has recognised Reading City Football Club Treasurer and Facilities Manager Victoria Pyke as Volunteer of the Season.

"Spoken of in revered tones whenever I have visited The Rivermoor in the last 12 months. Victoria drove the many improvements you can see around the ground and has pushed the club on as well as keeping on top of the many financial and secretarial tasks in the background".

Everyone at Reading City Football Club would like to congratulate Victoria on this well-deserved recognition for all her work on matchdays and behind the scenes.

Victoria narrowly missed out on this coveted award last season in the Berkshire Football Awards so we're pleased to see she's finally been recognised for her hard work.

Over the past year, Victoria has worked incredibly hard to oversee the maintenance works to ensure that The Rivermoor is a ground that we can be proud to call home, whilst doing this she has also to ensure that the club's finances are all in order which is no easy task with three senior sides and over twenty youth teams.

As well as overseeing our facilities upgrade and managing our finances Victoria has helped to ensure that the club is Covid Compliant which again is no easy task.

Whilst the latest lockdown has proven to be too cold to do any improvement works, Victoria has continued to work tirelessly behind the scenes with her finance and admin tasks.
