Reading City Football Club is currently seeking keen photographers to provide coverage of both our First Team and Under-23s on matchdays as well as covering club events.
The role involves: -
Attending matches home and away
Capturing the atmosphere on match days.
Taking photos of the team for our publications.
Getting shots for social media use.
This is an unpaid, part-time role within our busy award-winning media department and therefore we have a requirement of some flexibility to work regular evenings and weekends, plus travel to away matches we appreciate that not everyone can commit to every game taking place on weekends/weeknights so we would welcome people to join us on an ad-hoc basis and attend games when available and/or when needed.
Travel can be provided therefore having a driving licence is not essential but would be beneficial.
Whilst it's a volunteer role it can potentially be a route into non-league [at a higher level] and possibly league clubs.
Your photographs will be used throughout our award-winning social media accounts and website but may also find their way into the local papers, other regional publications and various non-league football blogs.
This role would suit a recent school leaver and/or graduate looking to get into the world of football. It will also suit a keen photographer wanting to learn what it takes to be a club photographer and could lead to a wider career in action/agency photography.
No qualifications are required for this role but would be beneficial.
Photography experience is essential.
The successful applicant/s must have access to a camera of their own.
Successful applicants will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, a confident manner, enthusiasm, organisation & professionalism and the ability to work independently.
