The Cityzens are back in cup action on Thursday evening when we travel to YMCA FC in the Fourth Round of the Football in Berkshire Invitational Virtual Cup.
With grassroots football activity suspended following new national restrictions to stop the spread of COVID-19 coming into effect on Thursday 5th November, the non-league football community has had to come up with other ways of keeping busy.
Football in Berkshire, a site dedicated to everything about and related to football in the Royal County of Berkshire has very kindly brought back its popular virtual cup tournament, which saw local clubs compete against each other during the last lockdown.
Having been drawn at home in the first three rounds, your support saw us through whilst many of Berkshire's larger clubs bowed out of the competition, We now need your support more than ever as we travel our noisy neighbours YMCA Reading.
How it works Cup ties in the Football in Berkshire Invitational Virtual Cup will be decided by Twitter Polls which will run for four hours, the side with the most votes will progress. How do I vote You'll need access to a Twitter account and then you'll need to keep an eye on our official feed @ReadingCityFC on Thursday evening for a link to the poll, once the poll is live you'll just need to click on the team who you'd like to vote for. If you don't have a Twitter account, please spread the word and tell people who do and help us progress to the next round.
