Ready for the restart

Updated: Dec 5, 2020

Reading City Football Club is ready for the restart as football returns and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to the Rivermoor.

The Rivermoor is a COVID-19 Compliant venue and as a football club we are compliant with all Government and Football Association Regulations.

Over the last few days we’ve been working hard to get to grips with the new rules and regulations and are now we’re in a position to tell you everything you need to know ahead of visiting the Rivermoor, you’ll be pleased to know that not too much has changed.

Please allow plenty of time to arrive at the Rivermoor as you’ll need to either give your details for test and trace or check in via the NHS test & trace app.

Ordering Food & Drink

In line with Tier 2 Restrictions and the Stadia Regulations we are permitted to sell alcoholic beverages without the need to purchase food, however food will still be served.

In order for you to purchase any food or drink you will need to be seated and then a member of staff will take your order.

If you are ordering alcohol only you will only be allowed to purchase this from the outside bar as the rules for sports stadia state that it must only be consumed when seated where the match is taking place.

If you're looking to sit in the clubhouse with an alcoholic drink, you will be required to order food with your drink as per the guidelines. Please find a seat and wait to be served by one of our staff members.

Seating capacity

In both our seated stands we have closed off every other seat to ensure that social distancing is maintained. In the event that we run out of seating capacity we do have an enclosed terrace that can be used, all that we ask is that you bring your own fold-up chair. By bringing your own chair you’ll also help stop the spread of Covid-19 as only you will be touching your own chair.

As long as your seated in a stand or on your own chair you’ll still be able to purchase refreshments.

Standing

Standing is still permitted at the Rivermoor as long as you aren’t consuming any refreshments otherwise you will need to find a seat.

You must only stand within groups of 6 in line with the COVID-19 regulations.

Upon entry to the Rivermoor you will see that the area around the pitch has been barriered off into sections, each section will allow a group of 6 to stand socially distanced from one another.

Face Coverings

Face Coverings must be worn throughout the clubhouse, including the toilets. Face masks can only be removed indoors if you are seated.

Face coverings aren’t mandatory outside but we would ask you wear one when queuing to get into the Rivermoor and talking to our staff on the gate.

Admission

Admission is £6 Adults, £3 Concessions and Under 16s go FREE.

Reading FC 2020/21 Season Ticket Holders also go FREE and a valid season ticket must be shown to redeem our offer.
