Nathan Jones named player of the month for September
Nathan Jones is having a fantastic start to his first full season as a first-team and following some fantastic performances throughout September was named player of the month after a vote by the first-team squad, management team and club officials.
Nathan Jones is a success story of our youth section, having started playing for the club at 14 years old at the age of 18 he is now playing for the first team.
Nathan signed for the first team this summer after his performances over the past two seasons impressed Simon Johnson. Prior to joining the First Team on a permanent basis this summer Nathan had spent most of his time over the past two seasons playing for the Under 23s but did also make a number of appearances for the first team
Since the start of the season, Nathan is really making his mark in the first team and is one of the first names on the team sheet having started every game of the 2020/21 campaign in all competitions.
His work rate and performances on the pitch also earnt him the honour of captaining the team against Holmer Green as club captain Alfie Grant was out injured. Nathan put in another terrific performance in this game and led the side to victory.
September was a fantastic month for the club having gone unbeaten in six games, in all competitions. Therefore picking a player of the month was always going to be a tough one as there are so many players who have been superb.
After much thought the players, management team and officials voted Nathan Jones as the player of the Month for September after his exceptional performances in every game he's featured in. Congratulations Nathan we hope you enjoy your Champagne, it's well deserved.
