Lighting Works at the Rivermoor
You'll most likely be aware of the ongoing improvements we've been making to the Rivermoor over the past year, the next stage of our project was our exterior lighting.
Earlier this week, Howard Electrical Services who are the official lighting partner to the Rivermoor were working on-site as we resumed our works to improve the facilities here at the Rivermoor so that we can have a home to be proud of for years to come.
Chris and his team at Howard Electrical Services worked on our floodlights, two of our lighting units were cleaned and had new bulbs fitted.
As the Rivermoor is the hub of the community we play host to a lot of evening games so the works carried out to the floodlights will benefit not only us but Woodley United who we're proud to have ground-sharing with us, along with all the other teams who play here throughout the football season in the various cup games that we host.
Chris and his team at Howard Electrical Services also spent time getting the lighting in our railway end stand working, the lighting in the railway end stand hasn't ever worked since we took over the management of the Rivermoor in 2016, but thanks to Chris and his team the lighting units in the stand were all replaced.
Whilst we can't currently welcome spectators to the Rivermoor, we know that the lighting upgrades to the stand will provide spectators with a better experience when attending evening games here at the hub of the community once we're allowed to welcome them back from May 17th at the earliest.
Ryan Sheehan, Media & Communications Manager has provided the following statement on behalf of Reading City Football Club:
"Everyone at Reading City Football Club would like to thank Chris and his team at Howard Electrical Services for their continued support towards the club".
