Jordan Alves re-joins the Citizens

Updated: May 16, 2020

Reading City Football Club are delighted to announce that talented forward Jordan Alves has re-joined the Citizens on dual registration from Basingstoke Town.

Simon Johnson has increased his attacking options with the signing of talented forward Jordan Alves. Jordan joins the Citizens on a dual-registration from Basingstoke Town.

Jordan is a graduate from the John Madejski Academy football performance programme, which we're proudly partnered with. This is also Jordan's second stint as a Citizen having played a number of games for the club in the 2018/19 Season.

Jordan has also played for Reading, Swindon Town, Hartley Witney as well as featuring in the National Football Youth League's National All-Star Team.

Jordan has also plied his trade overseas having spent time in the United States of America playing for National Junior College Athletic Association outfit Muskegon College.

We would like to thank Basingstoke Town for their assistance with this signing.

We spoke with First Team Manager Simon Johnson about Jordan Alves returning to the club. Here's what he had to say:

"Brilliant to have Jordan back with us on a dual registration with Basingstoke. A very talented forward with a lot of flare who gives us another attacking option heading into the final stage of the season".
