First team return to action this Saturday

The Cityzens will return to action at the Rivermoor this Saturday.

The Cityzens are raring to go after returning to training earlier this week.

Simon Johnson's team hasn't played a match in almost 4 months. 3 months & 21 days to be exact, having last ran out against fellow Berkshire side Windsor here at the Rivermoor and sadly lost 0-2 in our Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division Clash on Saturday 12th December 2020.

The league has since been curtailed with the Cityzens finishing strongly in third, Simon Johson's attention has now turned to the 2020/21 campaign and his first test for his squad post-lockdown is Wessex League Premier Division outfit Fleet Town.

The Cityzens will face fleet at home tomorrow afternoon, kick-off is at 2 pm.

Fleet finished seventh in the Wessex League Premier Division before it was curtailed winning 6, drawing 4 and losing 4.

In line with the government and football association restrictions, the match will be played behind closed doors as supporters are not permitted to attend any sporting events until May 17th at the earliest, but as always we'll have all the latest action over on our Twitter @ReadingCityFC, so keep an eye on our feed for all the action.

We look forward to welcoming the officials, players and staff of Fleet Town to RG30 tomorrow afternoon.
