Festive Season All Wrapped Up

Reading City Football Club have got the festive season all wrapped up with The Rivermoor hosting two events. Kicking things off will be the Berkshire Derby in which we take on rivals Binfield FC in the Hellenic League Premier Division on Boxing Day, then on the 28th we are proudly hosting a charity match in aid of The Big Match 2020.

Boxing Day - Thursday 26th December 2019

On Boxing Day we welcome rivals Binfield to the Rivermoor for our Hellenic Premier Division clash, which some may call the Berkshire Derby but we prefer to call it the Berks El Clásico. Kick Off is 15:00 and the ground will be open from 13:00.

This fixture is free for all Reading Football Club Season Ticket Holders, all you have to do is show a valid season ticket at the turnstiles to receive free entry. For everyone else we are waving our general admission fees and instead invite you to pay what you want to get in to the ground.

Saturday 28th December 2019

On Saturday 28th December we are proudly hosting a fundraising match at The Rivermoor, all proceeds raised will help cover the costs of The Big Match 2020 taking place at Southampton FC on May 23rd.

The Big Match is a charity football event and family fun day that raises money for Action for Children and The Brain Tumour Charity. It is made up of a hat trick of individual events; The Big Match Kidz, The Big Match and Extra Time - the after party.

Come along and watch team Elf battle it out against team Santa. Kick Off for this game is 12:30 and the ground will open at 11am and we will be serving breakfast rolls (bacon, eggs & sausages) from £2.50. Admission to the Rivermoor on the 28th December is £2 with all proceeds going to charity.

If your bringing your children along, don't forget to bring their boots with them as our club mascot Lawsey The Lion will be happy to take them on in a free penalty shootout.
