Reading City Football Club is eagerly awaiting the publication of the Football Association's action plan which will allow grassroots football to safely return.

Following guidance published by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) enabling competitive grassroots team sports to return, starting with cricket from Saturday, July 11th. The Football Association has been working to submit a comprehensive action plan for Government approval so that grassroots team sports can return.
On Thursday 16th July 2020 it has been widely reported that the FA has submitted their grassroots action plan to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport and is now awaiting approval from them and Public Health.
Reading City Football is eagerly awaiting this guidance so that we can plan for the return of football ensuring it is safe for staff, players, officials and hopefully supporters if permitted. As soon as anything is announced it will be added below.

Update: Saturday 18th July
Today, Saturday 18th July, the FA have announced completely updated guidance about the imminent return of competitive grassroots football, our board of directors are now working hard to put a plan of action in place in line with the latest guidance so that football can safely return. Please be patient and we'll add information here in the coming days.
