Cityzens join in with Turn Tilehurst Blue
Here at Reading City Football Club, we're committed to our local community and are therefore delighted to be supporting Turn Tilehurst Blue this evening.
On the National day of reflection, one year since the first lockdown in the UK, everyone at Reading City Football Club joins the nation to remember the loved ones we have lost & give thanks to the many key workers & NHS heroes who've helped look after us in what has been a challenging twelve months.
Here in Tilehurst, the community is going blue to show our fantastic NHS heroes and keyworkers who have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic that we haven't forgotten all that they have done over the past twelve months.
Within the Reading City Football Club family we have NHS Workers, Care Home Staff, Local Authority Officer, Retail Workers, Postal Workers, Childminders who have been caring for keyworkers children, school staff and many more.
We are also committed to our local community and want to provide a club that the people of Reading can be proud of.
Across Tilehurst shops, businesses, pubs, schools and houses have turned blue tonight in a show of community togetherness.
Whilst Tilehurst is only turning blue on a temporary basis, a lasting tribute to all our amazing NHS heroes and Keyworkers was unveiled at the Tilehurst Triangle earlier today.
