Reading City's senior squad continue their unbeaten run in pre-season with a win against Spartan South Midlands Football League side Hillingdon Borough.
Following on from Saturday's 1-1 draw against Isthmian League South Central Division side Marlow FC, tonight would see us welcome another tough opponent in the form of Spartan South Midlands Football League side Hillingdon Borough.
The first half saw both teams find the back of the net and at half time both teams were level at 1-1. McCoy was the goalscorer for City in the first half.
City started the second half on the front foot and had plenty of shots on goal but struggled to find the back of the net, those watching on were getting frustrated and believed the game would finish 1-1 but then that frustration turned to excitement when City found the back of the net thanks to a superb header from new signing Steve Lee.

Here's what First Team Manager Simon Johnson had to say:
"Another good 90 minutes in the bank for the lads against a good Hillingdon Borough side. Some real positives and a couple new signings. Another month of hard work before we begin."
