#CityPreSeason | Reading City 1 v Aldershot Town Under 21s 0

Reading City's unbeaten run in pre-season continues as they record a clean sheet against a very good Aldershot Town Under 21s side.

Following on from our midweek win last Tuesday against Spartan South Midlands Football League side Hillingdon Borough, where the scoreline was 2-1. Reading City faced another tough test last night when Aldershot Town Under 21s visited The Rivermoor for our third pre-season fixture.

Both teams had multiple shots on target, but neither could break the deadlock until very late on into the second half when Nathan Jones scored for city.

Here's what First Team Manager Simon Johnson had to say:

"Another good run out. A lot made a big statement tonight. Results not important in pre season but another win is another positive. Thanks to Aldershot Academy for coming over for the game. A young talented squad. Good luck for the season".

First Team Assistant Manager Sam Woodruff also had his say:

"Would like to thank Aldershot Academy for the pre season friendly tonight and wish them all the best for the season. Very happy with pre season so far. Hopefully a few more signings in the next couple of weeks to add to a talented squad".
