Reading City Football Club would like to wish it's players, managers, coaching staff, club officials, club partners, our supporters along with all their families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
As we come to the end of the decade we look forward to seeing what the next one has to offer, since changing our name to Reading City Football Club last year the club now has a strong future ahead and we couldn't have done this without all the hard work on and off the pitch, a big thank you to our managers, coaches, players and officials for all the effort they put in.
Over the last year improvements have continued to be made to The Rivermoor with the toilets being replaced, floodlights being improved and the kitchen being extended.
Our first team led by Simon Johnson and Sam Woodruff had a complete transformation in the summer and are enjoying a much better season than last season, they've also been able to introduce a coaching team to work alongside them with Ghaffar Ghoddusi coming on board as First Team Coach and Shaun Allaway coming on board as First Team Goalkeeping Coach. Deano Jones' Under 23s are also having an impressive season in the Thames Valley Premier League and has also added to his coaching team with Darren Seal coming on board as our Under 23s coach and assistant manager.
With 19 youth teams the future is very bright with many young, talented players in our ranks. Earlier this year we announced a partnership with Global Premier Soccer UK who are now our official technical partner, this means that our youngsters development and education as a player will be managed by highly experienced and qualified coaches.
Our media team has also expanded in the last year which means we are now able to cover both first team games and under 23s games so you don't miss a minute of the action, we are also now able to provide match reports too which enhances our media. Another huge step for our media team this year was the launch of our new website and the launch of our new online match programme.
We hope to see lots of you at our Boxing Day game for the Berkshire Derby against Binfield FC.
From everyone at Reading City Football Club have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
